On February 6, Ara Babloyan awarded the citizens of Switzerland Jean-François Duchosal and Michel Genoud the Medal of Honour of the RA National Assembly for their unique support shown to the Armenian people after the disastrous earthquake occurred in Armenia in 1988. Let us note that they visited Armenia with the delegation led by the President of the National Council of the Swiss Federation Dominique de Buman.

Thanking the Armenian people’s Swiss friends, Ara Babloyan noted that after thirty years of the disastrous earthquake he expressed his gratitude for the aid shown to our people and handed them the highest award of the National Assembly – the Medal of Honour.

The Swiss guests have thanked the RA NA President for receiving the award and assured that Armenia is always in their heart, and they share the award with all the people, who have helped Armenia to eliminate the consequences of the disaster several decades ago.
